The Atlanta Falcons’ four defeats in a row has reduced their chances of reaching the postseason, but they are still in with a solid shout of topping their division in which no team has taken a runaway lead.

They could not have asked for a much better game to bounce back in than playing the Las Vegas Raiders.

The home team are 2-11 and have been the worst team in the NFL on a number of metrics. They have the fewest rushing yards and before this weekend’s games had given up the most turnovers.

They are also set to be without key defensive star Maxx Crosby, who misses out with an ankle injury. Quarterback Aidan O’Connell is also a major doubt with a knee issue and a Raiders team that are not at full strength look extremely vulnerable.

Falcons QB Kirk Cousins has not been at his best this season but he won’t have many better opportunities to bounce back.

Side with the Falcons to overcome a 5.5 point deficit on the spread in this one.

Wide receiver Drake London has had an eye-catching season for the Falcons, recording a career-high 75 receptions already this year.

He has also clocked up six receiving touchdowns and is fancied to add to that tally against a Raiders defense that had allowed the third-most points in the league before this week’s games.

One of the only bright spots for the Las Vegas Raiders in their extremely disappointing season has been the performances of rookie tight end Brock Bowers.

Their first round pick from the 2024 NFL Draft has 933 receiving yards already and has been consistently one of the Raiders’ biggest threats in a struggling team.

The 22-year-old has had more than 90 yards receiving in five games already this season and the line of 63.5 in this matchup looks very achievable for the star rookie.
